Peter Rosen coming to Famous PEOPLE Players!

On October 13th, 2012, Famous PEOPLE Players will be celebrating the accomplishments of celebrated film director Peter Rosen. His documentary, God’s Fiddler: Jascha Heifetz reveals the paradox of artistic genius and asks how a mortal man lives with immortal gifts—gifts he must honour, but which exact a life long price.
This mysterious and legendary artist set the standard in violin playing for nearly a century.
Director and Producer Peter Rosen has made over 100 full length films and television programs. He has worked with some of the most important artists of our time including: Leonard Bernstein, Yo-Yo Ma, Martha Graham, Stephen Sondheim and many, many more. For his 1990 production of “Here to Make Music: The Eighth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition”, Rosen won and Emmy Award and the Directors Guild of America Award.
Come and meet Mr. Rosen, enjoy an excerpt from his film and cheer him on as we present him with the Famous PEOPLE Players’ Dare to Dream Award.
Tickets are our regular price, ($62.00 plus tax & gratuities - ask about senior and child rates.) It includes an excerpt of God’s Fiddler, 3-course gourmet meal and a performance by Famous PEOPLE Players.

Famous PEOPLE Players are over the moon with joy to have their special guest Gordon Lightfoot come to see their new Dine and Dream Theatre. For those of you who know him as a legend in the music industry, he is also a poet that has been called Canada’s greatest songwriter.
His songs have been recorded by the greatest of artists; Elvis, Bob Dylan, Barbara Streisand, Johnny Cash, Sarah McLaughlin, Anne Murray and many, many more. We have come to know him as a gentle, down to earth man whose eyes still dance!

What has become a popular annual tradition, this year’s event will host 9 of Toronto’s finest dining establishments. As the chefs perform cooking demonstrations, patrons will be able to interact with them and sample their delicious cuisine.
